MENEMSHA TEXACO SERVICE

Menemsha Texaco Service, Inc. was established in 1972 by the father and son team of Curly and Emmett Carroll. Their partners in life, Bette and Kathie, played integral roles in the day to day operations throughout the years. In 1990, Emmett’s son, Marshall, took the helm and was soon joined by his bride, Katie. Over the years, many kids found their first source of employment at Menemsha Texaco. Both Marshall and Katie’s children, Bradley and Brooks, have participated in the family business along with countless family members including siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and surrogate family members. The Carroll’s pride themselves on being a family friendly place where kids can do a little growing up whether it’s by earning their first paycheck or by simply making their first purchase of an ice cream “all by themselves.”
